CRUSHER is the newest built UK monster truck, arriving on the scene in 2005, although having received major refurbishment for the 2008 and 2009 seasons.

2008 saw CRUSHER compete at The UK Monster Truck Nationals at Santa Pod Raceway.
CRUSHER is built similarly to the successful American ‘Dan Patrick’ Chassis using new technology throughout. The body is a fibreglass version of a 1997 Ford F150.
The 1800bhp engine is a 545 cubic inch Ford V8, custom built by UK dragster specialist Richard Alder. The motorsport engine has been heavily modified and strengthened, and is running a BDS supercharger with top hat methanol injection.
Transmission is via a Ford C6 unit, heavily modified by Alders Automatics. The truck is permanent 4 wheel drive. Power is delivered to the axles via by a custom built ‘drop box’ with changeable gearing and a pair of prop shafts, one to drive each axle.
The axles are of JCB origin but are heavily modified.
The all-important suspension is custom built, with two fully adjustable air-over-oil shock absorbers per wheel.
Tyres are floatation tyres which are 66 inches tall, costing over £2,000 each.
